The Biography of Coffee.
The sojourner of coffee right straight into your cup is one that emanates from the farm as a
seedling to a fully grown cherry producing shrub at the average age of 3 to 4years depending on
the variety of coffee. There are two main variety of coffee that is; Arabica and Robusta. Arabica
coffee is highly regarded to Robusta coffee species.

This is a unique technique of farming coffee that’s keen on quality over quantity. It’s led to
there being a relationship between the producer, the farmer and the consumer of coffee. Its
keen on sustainability being that the means of growing coffee have to be in harmony with
nature. Coffee grown under this classification is traceable all the way to the farmer. This is
because every sequel of the coffee bean has to be up to set standard to achieve the end
product being specialty. Coffee is regard as specialty coffee if it meets a minimum threshold of
80 points out of 100. This is clearly stipulated by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
